He thinks he’s too broken for love。
Everything changes when two stubborn hearts meet。

On the run from her ex-husband’s twisted family, Finley seeks help from Jaxon Hudson, the Navy SEAL who rescued her three years ago。 Even though she only knew him for a few hours, it was long enough for her to fall in love。 But Jaxon’s imminent deployment squashed any hope of a relationship, and he walked away, taking a piece of her heart with him。

Now Finley is older and wiser and not looking for love。 So when Jaxon proposes a marriage of convenience and offers the protection of his name, but not his heart, Finley accepts the terms。

There’s only one problem, the spark they had three years ago never died out。。。placing her in danger of falling for him all over again。

Rescue a Stubborn Heart is an intense, powerful romance that really captured and held my attention。 Finley is on the run and Jaxon is suffering from PTSD。 It is wonderful to see how these two characters learned to deal with their pasts and find their HEA。 This well written romance has some mild suspense and super characters。 I could not put it down。 I will be reading this one again!

I really liked this book and it was written well。 We are talking stopping between each store while running errands to read just a little bit more。 (Many chores were left undone during the reading of this book!)This book was about Jaxon and Finley, when they had a short run-in the first time they met they both knew it could be much more。 But circumstances were such that they had to move on。When they met again neither one was in a good place, both struggling with demons of their own and trying to I really liked this book and it was written well。 We are talking stopping between each store while running errands to read just a little bit more。 (Many chores were left undone during the reading of this book!)This book was about Jaxon and Finley, when they had a short run-in the first time they met they both knew it could be much more。 But circumstances were such that they had to move on。When they met again neither one was in a good place, both struggling with demons of their own and trying to do it alone。 With love and work they were able to realize that when you have someone you love to share the struggles with they become so much easier to bear。 I liked the way the heavy topics were covered not too heavily, but enough to get the point across。 Love this author and can't wait for Jaxon's brothers own stories!I was given an ARC of this book, and willingly left this review。 All opinions expressed in this review are my own。 。。。more

3 years ago Finley was rescued from a man who wouldn’t take no for an answer to a date request by Navy Seal Lt。 Commander Jaxon Hudson。 He walked her home and they talked, but he was called back to the base。 Now it is 3 years later and Finley and her baby daughter are on the run from her dead, abusive ex- husband’s family, fearing they will try to take her daughter。 She found Jaxon’s family on social media and thought they might be able to help her since she had no where else to turn。 She arrive 3 years ago Finley was rescued from a man who wouldn’t take no for an answer to a date request by Navy Seal Lt。 Commander Jaxon Hudson。 He walked her home and they talked, but he was called back to the base。 Now it is 3 years later and Finley and her baby daughter are on the run from her dead, abusive ex- husband’s family, fearing they will try to take her daughter。 She found Jaxon’s family on social media and thought they might be able to help her since she had no where else to turn。 She arrives there sick during a bad storm and finds Jaxon who has left the Navy after terrible incident in Syria where his men were killed。 Jaxon is still having panic attacks and feels guilty that he survived but he agrees to help Finley。 They decide to get married in name only and Jaxon will claim he is the baby’s father so nobody can take her away from Finley。 Will their plan work to keep away her ex’s family and will they grow closer?I thoroughly enjoyed this story where 2 troubled people came together and ended up helping each other。 Finley had been traumatized by an incident with a man in her foster home and then suffered through an business relationship until her ex was killed but then she had to run from his abusive family。 Jaxon had a loving family but was traumatized by an incident in Syria where the Navy Seal team under his command was killed and he could do nothing to save them。 The author did a great job explaining how both Finley and Jaxon felt and how he agreed to marry her despite him never wanting a marriage or family。 The epilogue was a great ending for their story and I look forward to reading more about Jaxon’s brothers。I received and ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving this honest review。 。。。more

Woot! It's a new book by Cindy Roland Anderson! This feels like a good reason to celebrate today!Finley and Jaxon have a lot going on and a lot to unpack personally。 While there were some heavy issues facing them, I never felt bogged down myself and I am grateful for that。 For me, right now, I appreciate having depth to characters and knowing they are real people with real problems but I don't want to dwell there。 I'm looking for an escape in reading- romance and hope and happily ever afters。 Th Woot! I loved the added layer of light suspense in this book- it was perfect for this story。 It really helped drive the feelings between Finley and Jaxon forward quickly。 It's swoony and exciting。 I loved the feelings of family and I loved having a little baby in the mix。 It all just felt wonderful around my heart。 I am really drawn to these romantic, light suspense books。 It's one of my favorite genres and this book was perfect for me to read this week。 I loved it。This book is on KU if you have that。 Also, it is technically the second book in this Hudson family of brothers, but each book can stand on it's own。Content: mild peril, kissing- I received a complimentary copy of this book。 All opinions expressed are my own。 。。。more

This was a beautiful, romantic, love story full of angst, heartache, and suspense。 This book was fast paced, full of action, and sometimes it was a little scary which made me quickly turn the pages。  I liked this book so much I have to read the other books in the series!  It was so romantic how Finley and Jaxson fell in love three years ago before the rest of the book started。  Three years later Jaxson was a strong ex-Navy SEAL still recovering from PTSD and depression。  I liked how strong his f This was a beautiful, romantic, love story full of angst, heartache, and suspense。 This book was fast paced, full of action, and sometimes it was a little scary which made me quickly turn the pages。  I liked this book so much I have to read the other books in the series!  It was so romantic how Finley and Jaxson fell in love three years ago before the rest of the book started。  Three years later Jaxson was a strong ex-Navy SEAL still recovering from PTSD and depression。  I liked how strong his family was in trying to help him。Finley had her own demons, as she was divorced from an abusive man and trying to run away from his twin brother and ex-mother-in-law。  She was also caring for her young daughter, Gracie。I liked that Finley was able to break through all the walls and conflict facing Jaxon to finally reach his heart。  I liked Jaxon's sweet mom and all of his sexy brothers。  I cannot wait to read their stories。  I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review。 。。。more

This is the second book in the Hudson brother series。 I liked how well Finley and Jaxson connected in the first of the story。 Then, three years later they meet again when Finley needs Jaxson’s help in protecting her baby。 They still felt the connection that they’d felt three years earlier。 It was fun to see their relationship grow and then they fell in love。 The good guys were good and the bad guys were bad。 Jaxson and Finley did get their happily ever after。 I’m excited to read Walker and Briar This is the second book in the Hudson brother series。 I liked how well Finley and Jaxson connected in the first of the story。 Then, three years later they meet again when Finley needs Jaxson’s help in protecting her baby。 They still felt the connection that they’d felt three years earlier。 It was fun to see their relationship grow and then they fell in love。 The good guys were good and the bad guys were bad。 Jaxson and Finley did get their happily ever after。 I’m excited to read Walker and Briar’s story next! 。。。more

A new favorite! So much is wrapped up in these pages。 Anderson tackles a few tough topics, such as PTSD and domestic abuse, but does it in a way that brings issues to light without feeling heavy at all。 These Hudson brothers are a force to be reckoned with and I love getting their stories。 LOVED!After Jaxon rescues Finley, takes her on one date, and then deploys, survivor's guilt and trauma take over his life。 When Finley needs rescuing again, they reconnect and the sparks are more flammable than A new favorite! So much is wrapped up in these pages。 Anderson tackles a few tough topics, such as PTSD and domestic abuse, but does it in a way that brings issues to light without feeling heavy at all。 These Hudson brothers are a force to be reckoned with and I love getting their stories。 LOVED!After Jaxon rescues Finley, takes her on one date, and then deploys, survivor's guilt and trauma take over his life。 When Finley needs rescuing again, they reconnect and the sparks are more flammable than ever。Jaxon is one amazing character! Loved this well written chronicle of Finley and Jaxson。 It has heart as they deal with serious issues such as foster care, PTSD, survivor’s guilt, domestic abuse and stalking。 Despite the heartache, the story is infused with humor and joy。 The other characters have personality galore。 Such a worthwhile endeavor from this talented, compassionate author that I highly recommend。 I received a free ARC from the author and this is my honest review。

A Marriage of “Inconvenience”They got married for security reasons, but it might just end up being the best thing they ever did。 Finley is looking for security, Jaxon feels nothing but guilt and a sense of responsibility following a tragic event。 Neither know how much they need each other。 “When you know。。。 you know。。。”This is a great story and a clean romance。 The author has another success on her hands with this book。 It is a wonderful read with a bit of mild suspense and some appealing charac A Marriage of “Inconvenience”They got married for security reasons, but it might just end up being the best thing they ever did。 Finley is looking for security, Jaxon feels nothing but guilt and a sense of responsibility following a tragic event。 Neither know how much they need each other。 “When you know。。。 you know。。。”This is a great story and a clean romance。 The author has another success on her hands with this book。 It is a wonderful read with a bit of mild suspense and some appealing characters。 It isn’t anxiety-provoking like some stories (I found it relaxing but it also kept my attention and I wasn’t bored)。 In these challenging times, it was the perfect book for me to read。 It is part of a series (there are lots of brothers in this family) but it can be read as a stand-alone。 Of course, if you want to know the couples’ histories you will want to read these in order。 。。。more

Their story was so heartachingly beautiful and tugged at my heart strings。 The journey back to each other wasn't all sunshine and rainbows。 It was filled with hurt, pain, guilt, and doubt。 But along the way they found peace, happiness, trust, love, and family。 Watching these two broken souls get their happily ever after had me feeling all the feels。 The chemistry between these two was sizzling and their kisses had me melting into a big ol' pile of goo! YOWZERS! 😍Can we just take a moment to talk about little Gracie? She is such a sweet little bundle of joy who melted the hearts of all the Hudson's。 Watching Jaxon with her made my heart smile and had me letting out little dreamy sighs。 It was adorable! 😍I am loving this series! I cannot wait to get my hands on Walker and Briar's story。 Y'all。 The hardest part about loving a series like this is waiting for the next book to be released。 Oh how I wish I could just snap my fingers and their book would appear in my hands。 But alas, that wish never comes true。 I have to keep reminding myself that writing takes time。 You guys。 If you haven't read any of Ms。 Anderson's books then you are definitely missing out。 She's an amazing author and I have loved everything I've read of hers。 I cannot wait to see what she has in store for us next! As for my casting。。。 *dreamy sigh* I am seriously in love! What do you think?! 。。。more
